Go Teacher Go! (GTG), 22nd Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Best Radio Program in Science and Technology, is a radio program produced by UP NISMED in cooperation with DZUP 1602, the official AM Radio Station of the University of the Philippines operated by the Broadcast Department of the College of Mass Communication. The program provides additional information and teaching and learning strategies to help raise the capability of science and mathematics teachers in the elementary and secondary school levels. Some of these are teaching science through inquiry and teaching mathematics through problem solving.
GTG, which was first aired in February 2011 (Season 1) is now on its 19th season. It continues to provide elementary and secondary school science and mathematics teachers with new ideas, techniques, and innovative teaching and learning strategies including engaging activities and making improvised models for classroom use.
UP NISMED science and mathematics educators who serve as resource persons simplify difficult concepts to facilitate comprehension. Common beliefs and misconceptions in science and mathematics are also addressed. Faculty from state universities and classroom teachers from public and private schools as well as individuals from the private sector also participate as resource persons and share their insights on some teaching and learning topics.
Ma. Lourdes S. Agad, Chair of the Audiovisual (AV) Group and Lolita M. Mondigo, also of the AV Group take turns in hosting the program. Both staff are accredited announcers of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP).
